The monthly cyber security campaigns are carried out under such special circumstances. For example, Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram were dropped, CoinBase was also hacked, and the company responsible for sending information to all major mobile phone operators in the United States stated that these Information has been leaked for many years.

In the first week of October, the loopholes of the major brands entangled each other. Remember, these cybersecurity incidents are more frequent than you might expect. In the other seven times this year, personal information was disclosed when it shouldn't be disclosed:

1.The information of 220 million Brazilians was leaked by mysterious data.

On January 19, 2021, the PSafe Cyber Security Lab reported a breach of the overall population database affecting Brazil. The leaked data also included 104 million cars and about 400,000 companies.

Such information includes: name, date of birth, individual taxpayer registration mark, license plate number, city, color, brand, model, year of production, engine capacity, fuel type, etc. Although PSafe did not say how the company's name or information was leaked, Brazil's data protection law has laid the foundation for fines of up to 9 million U.S. dollars for such infringements. It is still unknown whether any entities have been fined.

2. Leaks in photo editing and stock photo services have affected more than 10 million people.

123RF is a popular image service. It already has 8.3 million users. It was hacked and sold online before the end of 2020.

BlepingComputer found some stolen data and found the names, email addresses, MD5 hash passwords, company names, phone numbers, addresses, PayPal mailboxes and IP addresses of 123RF members.

Two months later, in January 2021, the free online photo editing application Pixlr database leaked, which contained 1.9 million user records. Both services belong to Inmagine, and a user named ShinyHunters claimed that he also destroyed 123RF's saveable image website.

These records include sensitive information such as email addresses, user names, decentralized passwords, and the country where the user is located.

3. The Facebook leak affected 5 billion users.

April is an eventful month. According to reports, Facebook.Clubhouse and LinkedIn data were exposed within a week. Facebooks business is to understand your identity and sell this data to advertisers. This is no longer a secret. In April, a hacker forum released data on 533 million users for free. This is the data obtained from the vulnerability that was fixed in 2019 including personally identifiable information: full name, email, phone number, FacebookID, address, birthday, and biometrics.

He didn't even steal data from Facebook servers himself. Rely on robots to get data from the website, and then get information from it. All the leaked data came from Facebook before September 2019.

4. LinkedIn leaked 700 million user data.

The LinkedIn website also leaked monthly data on a similar scale. In April, hackers announced that 500 million LinkedIn user profiles had been removed, and the $200 million price sharing record proved to be legal. After that, it was determined that these data could not be sold. The database was released at the end of September and showed the data of more than 700 million users, including their LinkedInID, personal data website, location information (town, city, country) and email address.

5.1.3 million club accounts were posted online.

In April of this year, the online chat social networking site Clubhouse was also leaked. On hacker forums, 1.3 million Clubhouse user records captured were released for free. The voice chat database in the social network includes user ID, name, picture URL, user name, Twitter handle, Instagram handle, number of followers, user focus, and creation date. The executive president of the club, Paul Davisen, subsequently announced that all information is public and therefore not leaked.

6. The health tracker is open to Apple and Fitbit users.

Gethealth is a health tracking tool used to collect health data from Applehealthkit and Fitbit devices. Its insecure database holds 61 million user records. From the nature of the data, Gethealth's data contains more personal information, including the user's name, date of birth, height, weight, and geographic location.

7. Ticketcounter data leaked nearly 2 million users.

It is a Dutch electronic ticketing platform Ticketcounter. 1.9 million users were stolen from an insecure server. Hackers initially sold the database to forums, but later released it for free. This information shows the full name of the user. Email address, phone number, IP address and password.

Because there are information leaks, hacking attacks, and rule violations every day, it is understandable that you may have to reduce your awareness of network security. But in fact, whether it is at the individual, corporate, or national level, cyber security will affect each of us.

Although it is difficult for you and me to prevent the company's database from being destroyed, we can improve personal network security. You can use a VPN and strong passwords, and even don't allow apps to track your location.
