What is the DNS server address of my router?
There are several ways to find out which DNS server IP address your router uses. Most methods depend on your device's operating system.
However, there is one technique that is by far the easiest for all users and works with all devices.
The best way to check the address of your router's DNS server is to check the router's settings page. This is also known as the Webgui Status page.
Follow these three steps to check which DNS server address your router is using.
Launch your web browser and enter the IP address of your router (also known as the default gateway) into the address bar. Normally, the IP address of your router is 192.168.1.1; if not, see this useful guide to router IP addresses.
Once you have accessed the router's settings page, enter the router's username and password.
Click Status to view the DNS address currently in use.
