Although related, cyber security and information security cover slightly different areas. Information security involves the protection of any form of data from any digital or physical threat. Cyber security focuses on computer systems and the protection of data from unauthorised digital threats, such as cyber attacks. Cybersecurity can be understood as a form of information security.
