Does a VPN give you complete anonymity?
Does a VPN give you complete anonymity?
A VPN increases your online privacy, but it does not give you complete anonymity.
When you connect to the Internet via a VPN, an encrypted tunnel is created to protect your data. However, the connection between the server and the website is not encrypted.
The reason that VPNs still increase your privacy is that they make it almost impossible to trace any of your activity, because you will be connected to a different IP address.
But this is not the same as anonymity. As soon as you leave any personal information anywhere - name, email address, payment information - you leave a digital fingerprint.
A VPN gives you more privacy, but it doesn't make you invisible on the Internet. You also have to make sure you don't leave a digital footprint.
In a politically charged society like Myanmar, it's important to keep this in mind.
